No Quarter: No frills on-line database of Vietnam casualties

National Personnel Records Center: link to The National Archives' Personnel Records Center in St. Louis.  Find out how to obtain your relative's military personnel records or request replacement medals.

American Battle Monuments Commission: website of the government agency responsible for administering US military cemeteries overseas.  Online database of all service personnel who have been permanently interred in these cemeteries.

Orders and Medals Society of America: OMSA's site where you can join the Society on-line, purchase their publications, and find out more about medal collecting.

For Valor: An excellent site where you can see some absolutely incredible World War II Soviet and US militaria, and learn some history at the same time. 

WittWorldWide: A website with some incredible stuff for sale.  Definitely worth a look. I just wish I had his sources for militaria!!

The Purple Heart - Heroism and Sacrifice: A fellow collector's site displaying posthumous Purple Hearts.  Very nicely designed and executed website.

Purple Hearts of World War II: Another fellow collector's website displaying his extensive collection of World War II posthumous Purple Hearts.

 

Personal Favorites You Might Not Know About:

Battle Off Samar: Extremely detailed minute-by-minute account of the Battle Off Samar, part of the Battle of Leyte Gulf in late October 1944.  Arguably the most detailed and inclusive sites on any one battle in World War II.

Trigger Time : Author Mark Bando's excellent site on the history of the 101st Airborne in World War II. Great articles, photos, and discussion forum.

The WWII Combat Medic Great site on the history, equipment, personal accounts etc. of combat medics.

Victoria Cross Reference :Everything you always wanted to know about Britain's highest gallantry award.
